Deacon Commissions
| The Deacon Board is organized around the four commissions listed below. |
Worship and Hospitality Commission
The Worship and Hospitality Commission prepares the Communion elements for regular Communion services on the first Sunday of each month, organizes the teams who greet people at the Sunday worship services, and serves at the Welcome Center. It also hosts receptions following memorial services held at First Pres.
Visitation Commission
The Visitation Commission offers hospital visitation, prayer, and homebound Communion service. It also organizes seasonal flower deliveries to those who have faced significant challenges or are homebound.
Outreach Commission
The Outreach Commission seeks to discern and live out God's call to love and serve our local community. It works in concert with the Mission Outreach and Evangelism department.
