Presbytery Delegates

First Pres is a part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), which is made up of local governing bodies called presbyteries. Minister members and an approximately equal number of Elders make up each presbytery. Our local presbytery, the Presbytery of San Francisco, sets policy, develops mission plans, and promotes the spiritual welfare of people in the Bay Area. Presbytery Delegates are commissioned Elders who represent First Pres as voting members at presbytery meetings, which take place several times a year.
