Do Justice Day of Service
Do Justice is an annual opportunity to join members and friends from First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley as we worship God through acts of service in our Bay Area communities. For four consecutive years, we have partnered with Project Peace East Bay, a local organization that exists to create partnerships between churches and social service providers in Berkeley, Oakland, and surrounding areas.
In 2018, 421 volunteers of all ages and abilities donated 263 hours of service at 14 sites in the East Bay. Community groups, university students, youth, and members of the congregation knitted for NICU, gardened at Ruby Bridges Elementary School, organized classrooms at LeConte Elementary School, and much more.
While the next Do Justice Day of Service will be in February 2019, we invite you to continue serving at Project Peace Days of Service. Registration is free and we encourage you to invite neighbors and friends to join us.Click here for more information and registration. Questions?
