Are you a young adult new to First Pres and/or looking for a small group? Come to the Open Door every Wednesday night on the bottom floor of McKinley Hall to fellowship together and dive into the Word, with the goal of forming a small group. If interested, contact Evans Presley-McGowan (Intern for Adult Ministries).

Fall Class for Training in Counseling Skills
One Saturday a month 9AM-3PM
Cost: $150

Does your work or avocation put you in a position of sorting through issues with people? Are you interested in the process of integrating faith truths with psychological issues? The class instructors are licensed professionals and Graduate Theological Union faculty with expertise in counseling and spiritual issues. The classes will be held one Saturday a month beginning in September. If interested, contact the First Pres Counseling Service for further information.


Lenten Israel Pilgrimage
March 19-April 2, 2011
Cost: $4,900
Registration deadline: October 1, 2010

During this coming Lenten season, join us on a Holy Land pilgrimage co-led by Debbie Whaley and Amy Reynolds. Prepare your heart for the power of the resurrection by journeying in and to the places where Jesus lived and taught. Cost includes airfare, top accommodations, experienced scholar/guides, and all meals except lunch. Limited space available. For more information contact Amy.

There are many activities available to you: hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and so much more, with Santa Cruz only 25 miles away. A Learning Community is an opportunity for adults of every age to experience deeper growth in a place for Bible study, prayer, support, and encouragement. This is where we make new friends and strengthen the bonds of fellowship with other disciples.
