Godly Play is our Sunday School curriculum for children from 4 years through 4th grade during the academic year. Godly Play is...

  • A curriculum that engages the whole child in creativity and community fellowship
  • An active version of "lectio divina" (biblical meditation) on stories of the Christian tradition
  • A time of playful worship that invites relationship with God
Godly Play

At the heart of a Godly Play session is the telling of the story, experienced in the contexts of both the chronology of scripture and the church calendar. The storyteller uses simple, beautiful materials to illustrate the story and to engage imagination. Both the structure of Godly Play and the classrooms themselves offer children a safe space to explore, wonder, and worship. Children have the opportunity to relate Biblical stories to their own experience and to respond personally and creatively to God.

Godly Play

During the summer (July 6–August 24), we welcome children of all ages in the Sanctuary for Summer Family Worship. This is a special season of worship with unique elements designed to welcome and engage worshipers of all ages as we foster the life-long practice of worshiping in community as the family of God. Preschool care is available in Westminster Hall in the Nursery (birth–2 years) and W9/10 (2 years–preK). Godly Play will begin again for children 4 years through 4th grade on August 31.
