Marriage Mentoring

"We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of Jesus Christ but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us." (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

Marriage Mentors at First Pres are couples from all stages of life that are available to encourage and share wisdom with less experienced couples. They are Christian partners who have weathered many different seasons in their marriage and are prepared to authentically share wisdom, mistakes, laughter, tears, friendship, and love. Mentoring relationships can include:

• Pre-marital preparation
• Support to navigate a difficult life transition or event
• Learning relationship tools to enhance an already good marriage
• Help to improve the health and quality of struggling marriages

Mentor relationships provide an opportunity to thoughtfully engage in the important process of maintaining and enriching the health and vitality of your marriage. All marriage mentors have completed extensive training utilizing the Prepare/Enrich couple inventory and process. Mentors meet monthly with a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for continuing education and supervision.

We also offer training and support to local churches that wish to develop Marriage Mentoring programs.
