Support Groups & Classes

Support Groups & Classes

Do you need support, encouragement, or accountability? First Pres offers support groups and classes on a variety of topics. Many groups have come together as a result of one individual voicing a need; we welcome your contact about desire for support in a specific area.

Christian Parents of Children Who Identify as LGBT

Ring in the New Year with "The Gifts of Imperfection"
This small group is based on the book "The Gifts of Imperfection" by Dr. Brene Brown. Her groundbreaking research on vulnerability, courage, worthiness, and shame will help guide participants on the journey from being driven by success and perfectionism toward vulnerability, connection, and "good-enough-ism". This psycho-educational support group will be a safe place to tell our own stories, practice vulnerability, aspire to health and wholeness, and experience connection in Christian community. Facilitated by licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Jeanne James, the group is open to men and women at all stages of life.

Caregivers Support Group
