University Ministries

For more than a century, First Pres has been a place for students of UC Berkeley and local colleges to call home. If you're a college student, we hope you'll explore the many opportunities for connection, growth, and service. If your college years are in the recent (or not-so-recent) past, we invite you to partner with UMin as we reach out to students in the East Bay with the hope of the gospel.

Vocation Symposium "Designing Your Life Worth Living"

Friday, February 24, 7:30 pm and Saturday, February 25, 9am–1pm

What makes a meaningful life? What makes your vocation more than just a job? What role does faith play in designing a meaningful life? First Pres University Ministry is excited to partner with Veritas Forum and New College Berkeley to host a two-day Vocation Symposium.

Friday evening Stanford professors Dave Evans and Bill Burnett, and UC Berkeley professor Amani Nuru-Jeter address the subject of designing a meaningful life in the First Pres Sanctuary.

Saturday there will be vocation workshops for students led by Dave Evans and Jon Hart. This includes a lunch panel discussion with Christians who are engaged in various vocations.

For more information contact Ryan Pemberton, Minister for University Engagement, at ryanp@fpcberkeley.org. Register for Saturday's workshops at https://www.facebook.com/events/1841990656089234/.
