Mount Hermon Retreat Information

Registration Process and Guide

Together is a wonderful place to be…

The heart of our annual Women’s Retreat finds its truest expression in the simple act, our being together. Away from the busyness at home, surrounded by God’s beautiful creation, we are free to intentionally reconnect with one another and with God in deeper and life-transforming ways.

Our retreat team (Sandy Buscheck, Kathy Dwyer, Kim Farnham-Flom, Karen Frisbie, Kathy Goss, Kate Rankin, Sonja Ross) are preparing for this new opportunity for the women of First Pres, friends, and family, to be together as we gather at the Mount Hermon’s Women’s Retreat, April 6–8, 2018. Our team is giving special attention to ensure that First Pres women will have ample opportunities to experience community with one another in this larger setting.

This weekend away for women of all ages promises to be spiritually rich with an engaging speaker, worship leader, relevant breakout sessions, and a variety of activities/amenities.

How do I register?
Registration for the Mount Hermon Women’s Retreat is handled directly through Mount Hermon. Use our First Pres Registration Guide to walk you through the process.

When should I register?
Registration is now open. First Pres does not have a block of rooms reserved. To ensure your spot with the accommodations you desire, please register as soon as you can. This event is likely to sell out by March 1. You can start the registration process here.

Do I choose my own roommate?
Yes, in order to stay in a double, triple, or quad room you need to designate your roommate(s). Single accommodations are available.

Are scholarships available?
Yes. Please go to the First Pres Registration Guide for complete instructions. We
do not want finances get in the way of this retreat experience; First Pres has a limited number of scholarships available. The maximum First Pres scholarship is $180 or 50% of the published rates for Dorm, Economy, and Standard housing, whichever is less.
For those who are not affiliated with First Pres, financial assistance is available from the Mount Hermon Campership Fund. Please contact Mount Hermon registration staff for information and an application to receive a grant from the Mount Hermon Campership Fund.

Since we register for the retreat directly with Mount Hermon, how will the First Pres Women’s Retreat committee know I have registered?
By completing the form on the First Pres Registration Guide we will be able to keep you updated on retreat information.

What opportunities will there for First Pres women to be together?
Our team is working toward new ways for First Pres women to experience community with one another in this larger setting. Please contact Sandy Buscheck at if you would like to help.

Will there be an additional fee for any planned First Pres activities?

Who do I contact if I have more questions?
Please email your questions to, and a member of our retreat team will be able to help.
