From the moment of creation to the final redemption, the psalmist reminds us that “God is the king of all the earth” (47:7). Elsewhere the psalmist reminds us that “the earth is the LORD’s and all that is in it” (24:1). As part of creation and as children of God we are called to care for God’s glorious creation.

To encourage one another in caring for God’s good earth, our church is partnering with Presbyterians for Earth Care to host this year’s national conference: “The Climate Crisis & Empowering Hope.” The conference centers on one of the greatest and most far-reaching moral issues of the day and will give us practical ways that our faith can guide us to action.

The conference consists of meetings and presentations over four days. Many of these will be broadcasting from Virginia, with an onsite gathering at First Pres Berkeley on Friday, September 22. Participants can choose from a variety of presentations; all will be on Zoom and recorded for later review.

Conference Dates: September 20-23, 2023
