Life Skills Training Class
February 1 @ 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Would you like to be a better communicator? Would you like to change your relationships for the better?
Do you want to let go of old destructive habits? Would you like to be a better listener?
Would you like to understand your own life more fully so that you can be healthy spiritually and emotionally?
Over this six-month class you will learn skills that will help you listen to others at a deeper level, understand your feelings and those of others, and explore the importance of healthy boundaries. During the class we will invite you to take part in the “Active Listening Ministry,” which would allow you to meet one-on-one with someone in need of support through a concern or crisis. Listening with an open heart is a spiritual action. It is a great gift you can give another person—and, ultimately, yourself.
Besides helping those in the class improve their own lives and the lives of those around them, this class has been foundational for people stepping into other ministries in their churches or in the community. Life Skills Training meets in Geneva Hall room G208.
