As is our practice during the Advent season, the First Pres community is invited to support our local mission partners by purchasing gifts and supplying essential items for the communities they serve. This year we will partner with the First Pres Street Meal ministry, International Rescue Committee-Refugee Resettlement, and Harbor House Christmas Gift Store.

To Give Remotely:

First Pres Street Meal Care Packages: Purchase individual care package items and mail to First Pres Berkeley attn. Care Package, 2407 Dana St. Berkeley, CA 94704.

Care Package Item List: socks, t-shirt sizes XL or larger, soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrush/toothpaste, hand warmers, gloves, knit cap, small flashlight, rain poncho, comb, razor and shaving cream (travel-sized), healthy snacks (granola bars, peanuts, cookie or cracker packs, etc.).

International Rescue Committee (IRC): Order from the IRC Amazon website wish list (select automated delivery directly to IRC).

Harbor House: Order from the Harbor House Amazon website wish list (select automated delivery to local volunteer).

To Give In Person:

Step 1: Purchase item(s)

First Pres Street Meal Care Packages: Purchase individual care package items (see Care Package Item List above).

International Rescue Committee and Harbor House: Purchase from the IRC Amazon website wish list or the Harbor House Amazon website wish list or local store.

Step 2: Bring item(s) to the Advent Workshop in the Gym on November 28, 11:15 am – 1:00 pm or to Room G214 on December 5, starting 30 minutes before the Worship service or directly after the service.
