We invite you to our first ever, First Pres Fest, May 21-22 where all ages will serve, worship, and fellowship together. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to extend, experience, and celebrate the beloved First Pres Community.


SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

MAY 21

Serving in Community (9:30 am–12:00 pm, Locations vary) Help First Pres love concretely by serving the local community with our mission partners. Click on the link for each opportunity to sign up: Mobile Food Bank, City Team Sandwiches, and Gardening at City Team’s Turning Point (formerly House of Hope).

The Future of Faith, A LIVE Panel Discussion, (6–7:30 pm, Sanctuary) Rev. Dr. Charlene Han Powell, Rev. Molly Baskette from First Church Berkeley, Rev. Amos Disasa from First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, and Rev. Dr. David Vásquez-Levy from Pacific School of Religion explore what it means to be a community of faith in this newer reality.

Children’s Pajama Party (6–7:30 pm, Ages Two-years-old to 4th grade, W204, Westminster Hall, 2nd floor) This fun evening will be filled with storytelling, hands-on activities, and more. Party hosts are needed to welcome and oversee activities for this exciting night. To serve, contact Rosemarie Eichner.

Youth Dinner and Game Night (6–7:30 pm, 5th–12th grade, McKinley Hall) Join us for an exciting evening filled with food, fellowship, and fun.

MAY 22

Celebration Worship (10 am, Sanctuary) We will welcome Rev. Amos Disasa, Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, as our guest preacher, and listen to the joyous sounds of a New Orleans-style brass band.

Sunday Celebration Lunch (11:15 am–2 pm, Plaza, Lunch is free) This family-friendly gathering is for our entire community from our youngest to our most senior of saints. We will share a meal and engage in games and activities for all ages. Among the many things to celebrate, we will commemorate our church paying off its mortgage and becoming debt free.

Make the First Pres Fest weekend one to remember! Support needs include setting up, greeting, serving food, leading games, and clean up.
