First Pres is in your neighborhood! Our Parish Ministry fosters community-based connection and care within our congregation. Located throughout the Bay Area and defined by ZIP code, parishes help us get to know our First Pres neighbors.
Each of our Parishes is led by a team of Deacons (What’s a Deacon?) and lay leaders and supported by the pastoral care team. We join together in fellowship and service, share in prayer, and work together to offer care and respond to tangible needs in our parish, such as transportation or meals in difficult times. If you’re sick or homebound, parish leaders are available to come pray with you, offer in-home communion, or just listen.
