You are a gift to this community, uniquely created by God for this particular time and place, with particular talents, skills, experiences, desires, and personality. God then invites us as God’s beloved to build a more just and gentle world. 

This six-week journey focuses on affirming skills, naming our passions, discovering spiritual gifts, and identifying personality types. Through small group conversations, teaching, personal assessments and reflection, we gain a fuller knowing of self that opens us up to listen and respond to God’s call. Along the way we will explore the potential pathways to offer our gifts in service in the church, our community, workplace, and beyond.

Serving others through prayer is a grace God extends to each of us—a personalized invitation to be intimately involved in laboring for the well-being of others. Our prayer teams bring the needs and concerns of our community, our church, our nation, and the world before the Lord each week. Come and see God at work through our prayers. Join us regularly or drop-in when you can.

SERVE WITH LOCAL MISSION PARTNERS

One of our primary ways of embodying the mission of First Pres is to serve alongside our local mission partners who extend God’s grace and mercy to those in need in our East Bay communities.
