“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times,
having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
–2 Corinthians 9:8
God’s economy is different from ours. Ours runs on scarcity—count the costs, calculate carefully, give what’s left over. And yet God’s runs on abundance—count the blessings, calculate nothing, give from what overflows. Grace first, generosity second—always in that order.
Which means we don’t have to wait until we feel wealthy to give, and we don’t give in order to get something back—we give because we have received. Every gift, every hour, every skill we bring to this church is a small echo of God’s abundance: blessing that flows through us, not blessing that stops with us.
This stewardship season, we invite you to ask not “what can I spare?” but “how have I been blessed, and how can I be a blessing in return?”
Join us this fall for our 2027 Stewardship Campaign Blessed to be a Blessing! Our 2027 campaign goal is $2.75 million. Your pledges will secure 70% or more of our General Fund, serving as a needed foundation to budget responsibly and boldly for ministry.
- If you’ve never pledged before—this is your moment to step in.
- If you pledge regularly—stretch toward greater generosity.
- If you serve faithfully—or have yet to begin—take part and deepen your commitment.
Join us as we use what we have been given to make the Gospel real, relevant, and impactful in Berkeley and beyond.
