Life can be unpredictable and difficult; at one point or another, we all need extra support. One way First Pres provides that support is through our Deacon Fund. This fund offers confidential care for members and friends of the church in times of crisis and great need.
Needs include:
- One-time, emergency financial assistance covering housing, medical, and dental expenses.
- Counseling scholarships for those unable to fully pay for services at Berkeley Christian Counselors.
- Bereavement ministry, including memorial service and reception expenses for families of our beloved congregants who have passed away.
- Special projects that extend compassion to our First Pres family like groceries and medicine deliveries to homebound congregants.
Help sustain this important ministry by giving to the Deacon Fund in addition to your General Fund giving. Care needs currently exceed the amount of funds coming in. Your generosity makes it possible for us to live out our mission on this corner.
