WOMEN OF THE BIBLE
Surprising Stories of Faith and Flourishing
SUNDAYS, JANUARY 10–MAY 23
11:15 AM–12:30 PM on Zoom

Connect(her) is a gathering space for women of all ages and circumstances to deepen our relationship with one another and with God through small group conversation and prayer.
During the first four weeks of the new year, we will explore the stories of five remarkable women recorded in Scripture—Martha and Mary, Hannah, the woman at the well, and the bleeding woman. Though we are separated by centuries, their lives—changed by encounters with the living God—continue to powerfully speak into ours today. Knowing each woman more deeply will surprise and inspire us to find our way forward as we follow God’s leading in every possible situation. This video series features insights from Chrystal Evans Hurst, Lysa TerKeurst, Amena Brown, and Bianca Juárez Olthoff.

All are welcome to join our diverse community dedicated to sharing our lives and studying God’s Word. As we leave 2020 behind us, we cautiously enter into a new year with hope in our hearts and with a world still in pain.
The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Romans, reminds his original readers—and the community of faith today—that the church shares in this suffering, groaning in the tension between the “already” of possessing the fruit of the Spirit and the “not yet” of our very human, present reality. And Paul makes abundantly clear that God doesn’t stand apart from the pain. Rather, God, through Jesus Christ, entered into and dwells in the middle of humanity and creation’s pain and suffering.
Using N.T. Wright’s study as our guide, we’ll explore Paul’s Letter to the Romans, confront a world in pain not so different from our own, and experience God’s deep love still at work today to reconcile the world to himself.

Men of all ages are invited to be a part of this community that pursues God—seeking God’s wisdom for today’s challenges through the story of God’s people. In Genesis, we discover God as Creator and ourselves as God’s image bearers. God’s gracious promise and plan to redeem and restore fallen creation through Jesus Christ gives hope and purpose.
