Prayer is nothing else than being on terms of friendship with God. -Teresa of Avila
We are officially in the season of in-between… pre-pandemic and post-pandemic, Advent and Lent, the birth of the Christ child and the death of Jesus the Christ. But how are we supposed to approach the divine in the midst of this threshold season? What posture do we assume? What language do we use? To whom do we direct our prayers? Join us in worship this winter as we engage these questions in our winter sermon series entitled Holy Curiosity: Conversations with the Divine. Together, we will explore how to listen for God’s voice in sacred and surprising ways.
Attendance Online Only: For the safety of our community, the First Pres Coronavirus Task Force has recommended all worship services and some ministry programs during the entire month of January be attended online only and not in person. This shift to virtual attendance allows time for the task force to monitor and decide best practices going forward, promoting the health and well-being of all.
