Youth

Everyone belongs here—all are welcome and celebrated.

We are an inclusive, open, and affirming youth group for 5–12th graders. Our goal is to create a safe community where students are known and valued as they explore what it means to love Jesus and build meaningful relationships. We encourage students to ask honest questions, engage with different perspectives, and grow in their faith, knowing they’re loved by God exactly as they are. We also empower students to take on leadership roles in the church community.

What We Do

During the school year, we meet regularly on Thursday nights and Sunday mornings. We also host fun events and service opportunities!

Youth Night
Thursdays, 6:30–8:30 pm, McKinley Hall
Join us for dinner, games, laughter, meaningful conversations, and a message about life and God. We also spend time in small groups, giving students space to connect more personally with friends and caring leaders. Come explore or deepen your relationship with God alongside others.

Y.E.S. (Youth Exploring Scripture)
2nd–last Sundays, 11:30 am–12:30 pm, McKinley Hall
We meet most Sundays after the service to explore Scripture together. We provide lunch, play a fun game, and crack open the Bible in small groups. Come discover what God has to say about our lives and learn from one another.

5th Graders in the Youth Room
Occasional Sundays, 10:15–11 am, McKinley Hall
5th graders, join us in the youth room after the Passing of the Peace when kids are dismissed during the service. We’ll hangout, have some fun, and learn about Jesus. Parents, pick up your students after worship; they can also stay through 12:30 pm for Y.E.S.

Youth Choir
Sundays, 11–11:45 am, Choir Room

Youth Winter Retreat
Presidents’ Weekend, Friday–Monday
The youth group heads to Lake Tahoe in February for a retreat at Zephyr Point. Unwind, connect with new and old friends and experience God in new ways.
